Individual Contribution

Contributions from individuals fuel our collective ability to protect biodiversity and preserve native species, while also empowering local communities through employment opportunities. Whether through direct action, specialized skills, or financial support, every individual contribution plays a role in sustaining ecosystems and creating a better world for future generations.
Advocacy and Awareness
The absolute best way you can contribute as an individual to SIA is to be aware and raise awareness of native biodiversity and environmental conservation.
Ecosystem Health: Native species play specific roles in their ecosystems, helping maintain balance. Awareness helps protect these species, which in turn supports healthy ecosystems that provide clean air, water, and fertile soil.
Biodiversity Preservation: Biodiversity, or the variety of life, is essential for ecosystem resilience. Awareness ensures that species and habitats are protected, preventing the loss of genetic diversity which can lead to ecological collapse.
Cultural and Economic Benefits: Many indigenous communities depend on native biodiversity for their cultural practices and livelihoods. Conservation can also support sustainable economies by promoting eco-tourism and jobs in environmental management.
Sustainability for Future Generations: Ensuring that future generations inherit a healthy planet requires current efforts in conservation and biodiversity protection, emphasizing sustainable development practices.
By raising awareness of these points, individuals and communities are empowered to take actions that protect biodiversity and ensure environmental conservation for a thriving planet.
Share us with your network: Beyond arming yourself with education, you can also spread the word about SIA and its activities. Sharing our stories and successes helps bring us closer to more interested individuals and opportunities for collaboration. You can talk about us in your circle of family and friends, social media and networks.
Skills-Based Volunteering
Environmental Expertise: Individuals with specialized knowledge in fields like social ecology, environmental science, biodiversity preservation, ecological restoration can offer their expertise to SIA to improve project planning, execution, or monitoring efforts.
Technical and Professional Services: Volunteers with skills in setting up IT systems, inventory systems, legal assistance, financial systems, communications, marketing, graphic design, project management, etc. can help us operate more efficiently. Your expertise can help amplify our message or streamline operations, enabling us to reach more people, achieve greater impact, spread awareness and raise funds more effectively,
In-Kind Donations
Instead of giving money to buy needed material, you can directly give the goods and services.
It allows SIA to access goods and services that we may not be able to afford to purchase.
It would allow us to free up money and reallocate it to other parts of budget.
It would also speed up our projects by not always going through the local procurement process.

If you still prefer to donate money

Please note that based on our ongoing projects and priorities, SIA reserves full right to utilize donated money and allocate funds in a manner it sees fit and most productive to its goals and activities.

By stating this upfront, we are trying to establish trust and emphasize mission-driven stewardship while underlining our right of flexible fund allocation for operations and impact.

You can donate money to our bank account by contacting us through our Contact Us page.

We don't accept donations from foreign sources and non-citizens of India. This helps us meet FCRA compliance.
