Why should I contribute to SIA?
1. We are committed to the cause. Our works are for the long term sustainable benefits over tangible results for a short term. Our works are unique, very important and dedicated for the benefit of many. Our activities and genuine works on ground are such that they will significantly contribute to development of our Nation. Our mission is to work patiently and persistently and achieve participation of the communities. We are committed to continue our unique and dedicated genuine works for the benefit of many and development of our Nation through
i. National Integration, Fraternity, Moral Values and Scientific Temperament, Justice, Communal and Religious Harmony, Peaceful co-existence, Safeguarding our constitutional rights and duties.
ii. Contributing to Sustainable development through Environment protection, Biodiversity, Soil & Water conservation, Peace and Harmony in the society,
iii. Contributing to sustainable development though Women Empowerment; Social, Educational and Economic development of Disadvantaged and Marginalised sections of society in general and the Forest dwellers in particular; Education of the most Disadvantaged and Marginalised Sections of society and Care of senior citizens, environment protection and conservation of soil, water and biodiversity while also providing livelihood support to many, particularly the marginalised poor families.
2. Ultimately, to empower communities to take charge of above fields in general and national integration, communal and religious harmony, peaceful co-existence, environment protection, biodiversity, soil & water conservation, and their livelihoods through sustainable land use and management in particular.
3. We are keen to continue a community-based approach to achieve our objectives. We will continue working with local communities through identified needs and develop solutions that are tailored to their specific context. Our approach is inclusive, meaning that we work with all members of the community, particularly the women, school students, and youth.
4. We wish to plant and grow millions of trees, particularly the endangered indigenous tree species and contribute to conserve biodiversity and ameliorate environment and promote sustainable livelihoods. We are committed to empower thousands of families particularly women form the most disadvantaged and marginalised sections of society and the forest dwellers. We are committed to improve livelihoods of many by providing them with access to sustainable income, food, and other essential resources.
5. We have several future plans, including expanding and scaling up our above main works. Our works are unique, very important and dedicated for the benefit of many. They are for long term benefits over tangible results in the short duration. We clearly recognise the long term association with the local communities and various other stakeholders.
6. We have a balanced team of professionally competent and dedicated Directors. Some are young, energetic and innovative and some are senior and have diverse, rich experience having served in various government departments in various capacities. All are committed to shoulder certain responsibilities.
7. Despite this, we have been facing several challenges, mainly the crunch of financial resources that may further limit our abilities, despite our keen interests, values and commitment. We are facing challenges in engaging with local communities, because of the fact that our programs entail a long-term commitment. Majority of people, in general, don’t give importance to such long-term sustainable benefits over tangible, quick results in the short term. Nevertheless, we are committed to the cause and our Professionalism, Honesty, Courage, Sincerity and Hardworking is our strength.
When should I not contribute to SIA?
You should not contribute to SIA if you are expecting some guaranteed quick return. Our works are for the long-term sustainable benefits over short-term results. Social, Educational and Nature conservation works are difficult, and it needs persistent and patient efforts and time for change. SIA reserves all rights to utilise contributions in the manner it sees fit.
If you don’t recognise the importance of above works and don’t have faith in our credential, don’t contribute.
