In July 2021, heavy rainfall in the catchment area of Kolkewadi Dam caused floods in Chiplun. Chiplun is in the Ratnagiri district in the state of Maharashtra. It has been home to 1,50,000 people.
500 blankets and mattresses were distributed by SIA to the flood affected population in Chiplun.
